During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, cloud all changes on the revised plans, and submit revised plans/documents
to a permit coordinator. Thank you.

I . Identify and provide the beam calculations for the header over the existing 40x5O window in
the north wall of the great room.
2. Identify the posting required in the north wall of the great room below the 3 1/2 x 117/8
PSLs supporting the cantilevered upper floor framing and roof loads above.
3. Provide an 1800# holddown at the north end of the braced wall panel closest to the
comer/end of the braced wall line at the west wall of the great room to meet IRC
602.10.1.4.4 Exception #2.
4. Provide a detail and a reference to it for the required blocking between the floor framing
joists over the north walls of the great room supporting the shear walls above.
5. Clarify the reference made at the north-east comer of the great room to detail #12 on page A-
9. There is no detail #12.
6. The length of framed walls available at the east wall of the great room do not meet the
braced wall requirements of 602. 10.

7. Identify the roof framing members to be used over the master bedroom — page A5 indicates a
vaulted ceiling..
8. Provide a hanger callout for the connection of Beam #1 to the girder truss.
9. The 2-2x6 built-up columns below the east -west girder truss appear to fail.
10. Provide 1800# holddowns at the end of each braced wall panel closest to the comers/ends of
the braced wall line at the east wall of the master bedroom per IRC 602.10.1.4.4 Exception
#2.
11. Provide an 1800# holddown at the west end of the braced wall panel closest to the
comer/end of the braced wall line at the north wall of the master bathroom per IRC
602.10.1.4.4 Exception #2.
12. Provide an 800# holddown at the north end of the braced wall panel closest to the comer/end
of the braced wall line at the west wall of the master bathroom to meet IRC 602.10.4.4
Exception #2.
13. Provide a callout similar to detail #1 on page A-7 for the wall comer construction at the
south end of the west wall of bedroom #2.
