Final inspections have been completed for the construction of the new residence located at 7510
162nd St. SW. As you are aware the site is located within the Edmonds Earth Subsidence and
Landslide Hazard Area (ESLHA). Construction in the.ESLHA has very specific review and
approval criteria including peer review of geotechnical reports, plans and designs.
In the course of construction the site landscaping was altered from the reviewed/approved
design. The revised plan and support report from Nelson GeoTechnical Assoc. was reviewed by
staff. The code does require that the revisions are peer reviewed and the City has forwarded
these revisions for peer review.
This letter is to serve as a conditional approval for occupancy pending completion of the peer
review. If items requiring correction or modification are necessitated by the review these will
need to be completed prior to the final certificate of occupancy. An exact timeline will be
assessed (if necessary) based upon the nature of any potential modifications that are required.
