During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a permit coordinator in the
Development Services Department. Thank you.
This review includes building (structural and non-structural), energy, mechanical and plumbing.
1.Please add accessible parking stall dimensions to sheet A-100 Site Plan similar to those
found on C-100.
2.Please provide stamped and sealed engineering calculations and design for the tall north
retaining wall shown on sheet C-120.
3.On detail 8/C-520 show the minimum width of the curb ramp as 44 inches. IBC 1101.2.2
(WS Amendment)
4.Show details for the ATM showing compliance with ANSI A117.1 section 707, or add a
note to the effect that the ATM will be installed according to that section.
5.Provide details and dimensions showing the checkout counters comply with ANSI A117.1
section 904.4 for counter height, and section 902.3 for check writing surface. Show signage
if needed as per IBC 1110.1 #5.
6.On sheet A-111 show a tactile exit sign at Door J. IBC 1011.3
7.On sheet A-121 please clarify the reference to detail 2/10231.
8.On sheet A-310 show a thermal break at the slab perimeter between the slab and the brick.

9.On sheet A-610 details H, D and B/B1 reference Note 16, however Note 16 is not used.
Please clarify.
10.On sheet A-610 detail A references Note 17, however Note 17 does not exist on this page.
Please clarify.
11.On sheet A-610 (or as appropriate) indicate a sign at the front entry stating THIS DOOR
TO REMAIN UNLOCKED WHEN BUILDING IS OCCUPIED. Indicate on the plans that
the deadbolt used is to be readily distinguishable as locked or unlocked. IBC 1008.1.9.3
12.At detail 6/A-730 indicate the quantity or spacing of the sign mounting clips shown.
13.On sheet E-121 please add two additional Exit signs: one each in the northwest and
southwest corners of the General Sales Area. IBC 1011.1
14.Provide engineering calculations and details for anchorage of the refrigeration condensing
units on the roof, as they each weigh more than 400 pounds; or clarify whether detail 9/S-
700 may be applied to these units.
15.Special inspections have been identified for the project. Please complete and return the
attached special inspection agreement forms. These forms must be completed and approved
prior to issuance of the permit.
