Please provide written responses as to where the changes can be found on the plans, cloud all changes on the revised plans, and submit the revised plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator. Previous items that recur on this list appear in italics. Thank you. On page S-2: 1.Garage & House Lower Shear Walls – Clarify the difference in the location and width of the window in the south wall of the kitchen and that shown on page A-4 and A-6. Windows shown on the architectural plans do not appear the same on the structural plans or in the structural calculations. 2.Garage & House Lower Shear Walls - Clarify the difference in the shear wall lengths and windows noted in the structural calculation for the south wall of the kitchen (wall line ‘2’) and that shown on the plans. Windows shown on the architectural plans do not appear the same on the structural plans or in the structural calculations. nd 3.Garage & House 2 Floor Framing - Clarify the difference in the callout for ‘Beam 26’ – 3- 1/8x10-1/2 GLB – and that noted in the provided structural calculations. The beam called out on the plans appears to be overspanned. The provided structural calculations justify the use of a 3-1/8x13-1/2 GLB. nd 4.Garage & House 2 Floor Framing – Indicate the requirement that the specific header extend over the adjacent shear wall as noted in the provided structural calculations. nd 5.Garage & House 2 Floor Framing - Clarify the difference in the location of the ‘Future Elevator’ and that shown on pages A-4 and A-5. The second floor bathroom would have to be reconfigured if framed as shown. The location of the ‘Future Elevator’ shown on the architectural plans, and the configuration of the floor framing members to accommodate it, do not appear the same on the structural plans or in the structural calculations. nd 6.Garage & House 2 Floor Framing - Identify framing member number ‘3’ to be used as joists for the second floor framing. The revised structural calculations note #2 Hem-fir 3x12s at 12” on-center as a ‘check’ for loading/span. The construction documents indicate ‘I-joists per Man’f. Specs.’ without specifying a particular framing member. The #2 Hem-fir 3x12s at 12” on-center, verified by the structural calculations, could be used but have to be specifically noted on the plans. nd 7.Garage & House 2 Floor Framing – Clarify the difference in the span for beam ‘4’ – 5- 1/8x13-1/2 24F-V4 GLB – and that noted in the structural calculations. The location of the ‘Future Elevator’ shown on the architectural plans, and the configuration of the floor framing members to accommodate it, do not appear the same on the structural plans or in the structural calculations. On page S-4: 8.Holdown Schedule – Clarify the difference between the callout for the foundation anchorage shown for holdowns ‘T-1’, ‘T-2’, ‘T-3’, and ‘T-4’ and that noted in the structural calculations. The installation criteria for the foundation anchorage and the associated comments are not the same as that noted in the structural calculations. Page 2 of 2
