During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a permit coordinator in the
Development Services Department. Thank you.
1.Please change the occupancy group shown on sheet A1.1 from M mercantile, to B
business. IBC 303.1
2.Please adjust the occupant load calculation on sheet A1.1 to reflect the following square
footage factors: 15 sf/person for customer seating area; 200 sf/person for kitchen/prep area.
This reviewers calculation has determined an approximate OL of 21 for the space.
3.Provide dimensions for the height of the customer prep table and at least one dining table (if
fixed in place) to meet the accessibility standards of ANSI A117.1 section 902. IBC
1109.10
4.Show on the plans a maximum height of 38 inches for the checkout counter. ANSI A117.1
section 904.4
5.Please provide a letter from the building owner/manager regarding the availability of the
restrooms for occupants of the space.
