During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can be
found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a permit coordinator in the Development
Services Department. Thank you.
1.Please fill out and return the attached Washington State Energy form for Lighting.
2.Is the firebox on the south wall gas or electric? Please provide manufacturer specification
sheet and/or listing.
3.Alterations to the space must comply with current building code requirements including the
following accessibility features as per IBC 3411.7 (unless technically unfeasible), and shown
on the plans:
a.Provide an accessible entrance with a 32 inch minimum clear opening, maximum ¾
inch tall threshold and lever style door handle. 3411.8
b.All doors must have lever style door hardware, or equal. IBC 1008.1.9.1
c.Provide a minimum space of 32 inches between the computer table and the opposing
countertop. ANSI A117.1 section 403.5
d.Provide maneuvering clearances for the 3 doors at the rear of the space per ANSI
A117.1 section 404.2.3. See attached code excerpt.
e.Show dimensions for the enlarged restroom, including size of room, dimensions for
accessible toilet and sink, clear floor space at toilet and sink, grab bars, etc. See
attached restroom tipsheet. ANSI A117.1 chapter 6
