Please provide written responses as to where the changes can be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a permit coordinator in the Development Services Department. Thank you. NON-STRUCTURAL 1.Please indicate the correct code references on sheet T1.0: a.National Electrical Code 2008 b.Uniform Plumbing Code 2009 c.ANSI A117.1 2003 2.On sheet A1.3 change the roof insulation from R25 to R30. WSEC Table 13-1 3.Please fill out the attached Exterior Lighting Summary energy form and return with your re- submittal. 4.Show tactile exit signs on the plans at the 2 main exit doors from the dining room. IBC 1011.3 5.Please provide sufficient detail on the pedestrian crosswalk (shown on C1.0) to permit review of accessibility of this feature, especially where it adjoins the walkway around the building, and where it meets the city sidewalk. Stairs are not allowed. Ramps shall comply with IBC 1010. IBC 1104.1 STRUCTURAL 6.Header “H3” is shown on the engineered calculations as a 3½ x 14 LVL (on calc page 19) yet is shown on the plans as a 5½ x 9½ LVL. Please modify the drawings or provide new calcs for the proposed size. 7.The steel thickness for Beam “B3” is shown as 5/16” on calc page 43, yet is shown as ¼” in the Beam Schedule on sheet S1.2. EOR, please clarify. 8.The width of the footing under shearwalls A, B and C is shown in the calcs as 2.0 feet wide, yet plan detail 3/S2.0 shows it as 1’-8”. EOR, please clarify. 9.For all rooftop equipment weighing more than 400 pounds, provide seismic attachment calculations and details stamped and signed by a Washington State licensed professional engineer. The details must show attachments from the curb to roof as well as the unit to curb. 10.Special inspections have been called for on this project. Please obtain signatures and return the attached special inspection agreement forms prior to issuance of the permit. MECHANICAL 11.The walls behind the Type 1 exhaust hoods must be of non-combustible construction. Wood studs are not permitted within 18 inches of the hoods, even with the non-combustible covering. Please adjust the plans as needed. See sheets A1.0 and M3.0. IMC 507.9 12.Please clarify on the plans the make-up air system for the Type 1 exhaust hoods. a.Show that the make-up air controls are interconnected with the hood exhaust system(s). b.The amount of make-up air should be approximately equal to the amount of exhaust air. Clarify the source of the make-up air for the kitchen in the Air Balance Schedule on M1.2 and provide enough design detail on the plans to guide proper installation and inspection of the system. PLUMBING 13.On sheet P1.2 the drain sizing is shown as being sized per IPC. Please recalculate using the Uniform Plumbing Code and make any changes necessary to the plans. 14.Please respond to the review comments concerning the drainage system as provided by Les Krestel of Wastewater Treatment.
