Project: Purser SFR
Project Address: 922 Cedar Street
During a review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following
information, clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the
changes can be found on the plans, cloud all changes on the revised plans, and submit the revised
plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator. Thank you.
On page A3:
1.Clarify the callout for the 36x36x8 isolated footing used to support the east end of Beam
GB-4 5-1/8x19-1/2 24F-V4 GLB and the west end of Beam GB-5 5-1/8x19-1/2 24F-
V4 GLB where they converge over the center of the garage. It appears to be undersized for
the load noted in the provided structural calculations.
2.Clarify the callout for the 36x36x8 footings used to support each end of Beam GB-4
OPTIONAL SINGLE SPAN 10-3/4x24 24F-V4 GLB. They appear to be undersized for
the loads noted in the provided structural calculations. Note: Using the 25.5 foot span
(measured from the center of the supporting columns) the point load on the beam is at 15.5
feet, slightly changing the distribution of the loads at each end.
3.Indicate on the plans the required footing to support the east end of Beam GB-6 5-1/8x12
24F-V4 GLB and the west end of Beam GB-7 5-1/8x12 24F-V4 GLB where they
converge over the front of the garage. It appears to be undersized for the loads noted in the
provided structural calculations.
On page A4:
4.Indicate on the plans the required beam to support the load over the 6.0x5.0 window in the
south wall at the base of the stairs. The 4x10 DF#2 noted as typical appears to be over
spanned due to the point load from the south end of Beam BB-2 (3) 2x12 DF#2.
On page A5:
5.Clarify the length of wall bracing shown along the north wall of the Dining Room upper
level braced wall line B. The placement of the holdowns and the construction of the walls
will not result in the 6 foot of wall bracing noted in the provided structural calculations.
