During a review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following
information, clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the
changes can be found on the plans, cloud all changes on the revised plans, and submit the revised
plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator. Due to the relatively minor nature of the following
comments, the changes may also be made by red-lining the existing plans in-person. Thank you.
On page A3:
1.Provide a callout for Detail 2 on page G1 for the continuous footings/foundations to guide
proper construction and inspection.
On page A5:
2.Change the code reference for the required dwelling/garage fire separation from R309.2 to
R302.6.
3.Change the code reference limiting the stair riser height from R311.5.3.1 to R311.7.4.1.
On page A6:
4.Provide a callout for Detail 1 and Detail 2 on page A6, where applicable, for the shear
wall/ floor diaphragm configuration to guide proper construction and inspection.
On page A7:
5.The 150 cfm Whole House Fan in the laundry room meets the requirements of a
continuously operating fan per M1508.2 (75 cfm for the optional maximum of 4 bedrooms /
1501- 3000 sq. ft.). Operated intermittently (for 1 hour every 4 hours), a 300 cfm fan would
be required.
On page A8:
6.Clarify the callout for the header over the window in the west wall of the Bonus Room
the typical #2 DF 4x8 is over-spanned.
