During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can be
found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a permit coordinator in the Development
Services Department. Thank you.
1.What is the use/occupancy of the south tenant space? Please label each room or space as
applicable. If the space is currently vacant a separate building permit will likely be required
prior to future tenant occupancy.
2.Provide the square footage for each tenant space.
3.The alterations to the front wall require evaluation by a structural engineer for lateral stability.
Please provide calculations by a Washington state licensed engineer to justify the design.
4.Show on the plans the construction of the demising wall. (eg. 2x4 studs 16 o.c. with ½ inch
drywall each face.)
5.All new doors shall be minimum 36 inches wide. Please alter the plans as necessary. IBC

6.The vestibule at the restroom must provide 48 inches plus the width of the door swinging into
the space. (The vestibule is thus a minimum of 7 feet in the east-west direction.) Provide
dimensions on the plan to show compliance. IBC 1008.1.8
7.Indicate on the plan all door hardware is to be lever style or otherwise accessible. IBC
