During a review of the plans by the Building Division for the above noted projects including two
duplexes and a single-family residence, it was found that the following information, clarifications,
or changes are needed. A complete review cannot be performed until the revised plans/documents,
including a written response indicating where the ‘clouded’ or otherwise highlighted changes can be
found on the revised plans, have been submitted to a Permit Coordinator. Reviews by other
divisions, such as Planning, Engineering, or Fire, may result in additional comments.
General Notes
1.The sheets should be named in such a way to eliminate the confusion of having multiple
sheets with the same name (for example, there are (3) sheet A1s).
Sheet A2:
2.For uniformity, indicate safety glazing (S.G.) at the master bathroom window along the east
elevation per IRC 308.4.
Sheet A4:
3.Please show the holdowns required as shown on the foundation plan.
4.The Permit Application indicates that the units will be heated using hydronic wall heat, but
the plans indicate that electric wall heaters will be used. Please clarify.
5.The Permit Appliction indicates that an electric fireplace will be used in the great room, but
the plans indicate the a gas fireplace. Please clarify.
6.For clarity, please indicate whether the oven/range will be electric or gas.
7.The plans indicate that the party wall is to be built per detail D1/A7, however that detail
does not appear on sheet A7. Please add.
8.
Sheet A5:
9.Please indicate safety glass at the master bath windows at the rear of the upper floor.
10.Please add shear wall and holdown information at the side and rear wall lines.
11.See item 6 above.
Sheet A7:
12.Add detail D1 per items 6 and 9 above.
The above correction items should be applied to the applicable sheets for each of the three
structures as appropriate.

13.If it is intended that 3000 psi concrete is to be used, special inspections will be required and
the proper paperwork should be submitted with the resubmittal. Otherwise, remove the
reference to 3000 psi concrete.
