Dear Mr. Peirce:
I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division, and
it was found that the following information, corrections, or clarifications will need to
be addressed before review can continue:
j.',frees: Please address the following comments related to the existing trees on the
subject site:
Edmonds Connnunity Development Code (ECDC) Chapter 18,4S encourages
the retention of trees to the Y-naximurn extent feasible. Several of the trees
indicated on the clearing and grading plan (Sheet CI) as to be removed are
well within the footprint of the proposed developynerlt an(] would not be able
to be retained with the construction of a new residence on the subject site.
However, there are trees indicated as to be removed that appear to be located
in areas that would not be impacted by the proposal, particularly those trees
located within the eastern portJon of the site directly south of the 30-footjog
in the eastern property line. Please revise the tree removal plans and clearing
limits indicated on Sheet CI, in order to retain the maximum trees feasible, or
provide sufficient documentation as to why these trees must be renwved with.

to be retained during (level opment of a site. Please include these tree
protection measures on the clearing and grading plan (Sheet C'1).

2. Fences: Please label the fences indicate(] on the site plan as either existing or proposed. if proposed,
additional information including the heights of Ilic, fences will need to be provided.
3. 1161 _11A Calculations: Please respond to the following comments regarding the height calculations:
There appears to be a typo with the proposed height stated on the site. plait (the proposed height is indicated
as 192.3" while the average original grade is indicated as 492.6"). Please verify the proposed height and
ensure that it is indicated consistently between the site plan and building elevation views (Sheet AS).

If changes are necessary to the building elevation views (Sheet. AS), please be sure to indicate the average
grade, maxitrunn allowed height, and proposed height on the revised elevation views (these numbers were
handwritten on the current subirtittal).
Please submit three copies of your revised site plan (including orie reduced copy) and two copies of any revised
building plan sheets to Development Services Permit Coordinator. Our office hours are Mondays, Tuesdays,
