A complete review cannot be performed until the revised plans/documents, including a written response indicating where the ‘clouded’ or otherwise highlighted changes can be found on the revised plans, have been submitted to a Permit Coordinator. Reviews by other divisions, such as Planning, Engineering, or Fire, may result in additional comments. On sheet A1: 1.Partial Site Plan a.Indicate on the plans the required width of 132 inches for the van-accessible parking space per International Code Council (ICC) A117.1-2009 section 502.2. A parking space width of 96 inches is allowed where the adjacent access aisle is a minimum of 96 inches wide. b.Indicate on the plans the required handrails on each side of ramp runs with a rise greater than 6 inches per ICC A117.1-2009 section 405.8. The handrails must comply with ICC A117.1-2009 section 505. c.Indicate on the plans the required edge protection on each side of ramp runs per ICC A117.1-2009 section 405.9. On sheet A2: 2.Detail 1 – Section @ Accessible Parking – and Detail 2 – Concrete Curb – Clarify the representation of the top of the ‘concrete curb’ flush with the level of the new asphalt paving. The leader line for ‘exist. asphalt to remain’ on Detail 1 appears to indicate that, when completed, there will be two different levels of asphalt paving. 3.Detail 3 – Wood Framed Deck & Ramp – and Detail 4 – Ramp Detail – Indicate on the plans the required handrails on each side of ramp runs with a rise greater than 6 inches per ICC A117.1-2009 section 405.8. The handrails must comply with ICC A117.1-2009 section 505. 4.Detail 5 – Accessible Parking Sign – Indicate on the plans the designation “van accessible” for the sign identifying the accessible parking space per ICC A117.1-2009 section 502.7.
