We have made revisions to the drawings in accordance with your correction notice dated January 22, 2015. Specifically our response comments are as follows: All notes from the "sketch and calc." packet'have been added to the construction documents. 2. The deck lateral connections are indicate on the drawings at the deck setback areas( 2 on the upper floor and 3 on the lower floor). The deck ties consist of lapping a deck joist to floor rims and securing the joist with (2) 16d @ 8" and 1/4"dia x 3 1/2 SDS screws@16" (in lieu of holdown style tension tie shown in R507.2.3). See Detail D/3.The tension capacity is in excess 1500 lbs each. 3. The minimum footing sizes are indicated on lower floor framing sheet 2. 4: Ledger connection details have been added, details D & E/3. 5a. The Upper Floor framing existing 6 x8 has been upgraded to span the 13+ feet with a continuous E -Beam HD "EBD -1000S162-54". See the attached calculation. 5b. The Lower Floor framing existing 6 x8 will supported by an new column at mid -span. Reducing the span to 6+ feet. See the attached calculations.
