A complete review cannot be performed until the revised plans/documents, including a written response indicating where the ‘clouded’ or otherwise highlighted changes can be found on the revised plans, have been submitted to a Permit Coordinator. Reviews by other divisions, such as Planning, Engineering, or Fire, may result in additional comments. Sheet A1 1. The elevation views provided do not match the window and door openings shown on the floor plans. Please revise the elevations to match. Sheet A3 2.Provide a carbon monoxide detector per IRC R315.1. 3.Revise the note regarding the finish height at egress windows to “MAX FINISH CLR OPENING 44”. 4.Provide a 50 CFM (minimum) exhaust fan in the powder room by the entry and in the laundry room per IRC Table M1507.4. 5.Either provide direction to sheet A7 for the notes associated with plan specifications ‘1’ by the living room fireplace and ‘3’ by the garage man-door, or include those notes on sheet A3. 6.Specify safety glass where safety glass is required per IRC R308.4. For example, at the sidelight windows beside the entry door and at the living room where the glazing extends down to within 18” of the finished floor. Sheet A4 7.Please clarify the meaning of the bold triangle at the front door. Sheet A6 8.Beam 1-4 was not found on this plan. Please verify that the beam numbers shown on the plan match the engineer’s calculations. 9.The beam specified at beam 1-3 differs from that shown in the engineering packet. 10.The beam specified at beam 1-12 differs from that shown in the engineering packet. 11.Clarify the meaning of the bold triangle at the front door per item#7 above. 12.The overhead door, walls and shear wall call-outs are missing at the wall between the existing garage and the garage addition. Please revise for consistency. Sheet A7 13.The roof framing plan is unclear and incomplete. Please include any girder trusses and/or hip masters. Additionally, provide the roof framing for the entire addition. 14.Note 4. – Revise ‘FINISHED SILL HEIGHT OF…’ TO ‘FINISHED CLEAR OPENING HEIGHT OF…’ 15.Revise the plan scale to show the correct scale.
