During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can be
found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a permit coordinator in the Development
Services Department. Thank you.
1. Please update references on sheet A0.10 to the current use of the surgical center from
occupancy group I-1.2 to B ambulatory care facility. Please see review comments from John
Westfall which are similar to what this Building Division review is concerned with in regards
to ACF requirements. IBC 304.1 and 422
2. On sheet M3.01 please add fire smoke dampers on 2 existing ducts that penetrate the 2 hour
wall of OR #1 on gridline 4, or explain why these may not be required by code.
3. Please provide a copy of the Department of Health review letter for the project. Any DOH
requirements identified in the letter must be incorporated into the building permit plan set for
city review prior to issuance of the permit.
