Dear Jeanie:

ECT--T,T
1. Thank you for providing 8 CDSt 0SUnn8t8. H88S8 nV(e, inspection fees will be C@|CUb]hed
using this estimate, however, a recent determination has been made that a performance
bond will not be required from a public entity such as the school district.
2. Response letter acknowledges [rain garden covenant] requirement.
Response: It was noted in a previous c0D101eOt that the City vvnU|d forward 3 template.

Sheet C4.01:
1. The turning movements included on plan sheet C0.02 show that a van would barely
make the turns and/or would likely be on the curb against parked cars to do so. Please
confirm the owner is acceptant of the proposed design. If so, the City will also accept
the design as the movements will be on private property and therefore any damage to
infrastructure would occur on private property.
Response: Edmonds School District has reviewed and confirms the movement is
acceptable as shown
Sheet 04.02:
1. A landing needs to be provided at the curb ramp across the drive aisle from R7. Indicate
ramp section on the plans.
Response: The concrete area across the drive aisle from R7 is a ramp landing at the
bottom of the ADA ramp run. A detectable warning surface is provided on the ramp
landing at the curb cut for the transition to the drive aisle. Sheet C4.02 has been revised
to include a callout to the grading sheet for additional grading detail. Slope information
(2% max) has been added to the landing on sheet C3.03. Jeanie McConnell has
confirmed this as acceptable, per e-mail discussion on June 171"
Sheet C6.01:
1. Curb ramp R2, R3 and R5 do not reference the plan sheets in which they are located.
Please revise.
Response: Curb ramp table is revised to include plan and detail references for each
curb ramp.
Sheet C7.01:
1. Reference to ramps R4 and R6 have been removed from the plan set. Please revise as
needed. Please note, Detail 5 on C4.02 still references these ramps.
Response: Ramp information for ramps R4 and R6 have been removed from C6.01.
Reference to these ramps has been removed from detail 5 on C4.02.
Sheet L1.01:
The landscape plan (sheet L1.01) specifies "Northwest Bioswale Mix." Rain gardens are
not bioswales. Bioswales are used to convey flows and give some treatment. The
grasses specified are not appropriate for rain gardens. Rain garden (bioretention) plants
need to be selected for the 3 zones found in these BMPs. See section 6.1.2 and
Appendix 1 of the 2012 "Low Impact Development Technical Guidance Manual for Puget
Sound" for choosing the correct plants.
Response: Landscape Plan sheet L1.01 has been revised. Planting zones 1, 2, and 3
were added to the plan to accurately show the extents of the rain gardens. The plant
legend was expanded and delineates the locations for the plant materials for each
