During a 2nd review of the plans by the Building Division for the above noted project, it was found
that the items remaining below still need clarification or revision to the plan. A complete review
cannot be performed until the revised plans/documents, including a written response indicating
where the clouded or otherwise highlighted changes can be found on the revised plans, have been
submitted to a Permit Coordinator. Reviews by other divisions, such as Planning, Engineering, or
Fire, may result in additional comments.

7.Install the engineering lateral design into the floor plan. As of this review, there is no
correlation between the shear wall schedule and the floor plan. If each of the walls
accounted for in the lateral design are to be SW-1, please indicate that on the floor plan by
labeling each wall or with a note. In addition, designate which walls are shear walls with
shading or hatching.
After clarification of which walls are intended to be shear walls, it is now evident that a
detail is required for shear transfer from the roof structure to the perpendicular, interior shear
wall between the UtilityRoom and Garage. Please add a detail to the plans and make
reference to it as appropriate.
8.It appears that the whole house ventilation exhaust fan is proposed to be located within the
laundry room. Please specify that the timer must be set to operate 2 hours, 45 minutes per
each 4 hour period, 24 hours per day per IRC M1507.
The time should be 2 hours AND 45 minutes per each 4-hour period, 24 hours per day.
