During a review of the plans by the Building Division for the above noted project, it was found that
the following information, clarifications, or changes are needed. A complete review cannot be
performed until the revised plans/documents, including a written response indicating where the
clouded or otherwise highlighted changes can be found on the revised plans, have been submitted
to a Permit Coordinator. Reviews by other divisions, such as Planning, Engineering, or Fire, may
result in additional comments.

Sheet G
1.General Notes Note #5 states that the energy code is meant to comply with the prescriptive
method, however, Option 5a of the WSEC Table 406.2 was selected, which states that the
floor insulation is to be upgraded to R-38 and the windows are to be UF 0.28. Please revise
this note to be consistent with Option 5a.
2.Detail 4 and 5 show an additional method of guard rail construction, along with detail 1/7
and 2/7. To avoid confusion, delete or put an X through one set of details or the other.
Sheet L2
3.Several references are made to detail 11. No detail 11 could be found. Please clarify.
4.The interior shear wall F/9 between the great room and the dining room does not appear to
meet the 3.5:1 height to width ratio per the AF&PA SDPWS. Please revise.
5.Dots indicating holdowns are shown at each end of the S/0 shear wall along the front of the
Den. For consistency, please remove the holdown dots.

6.Same comments as above for Sheet L2.
Sheet L4
7.The stem wall dimension shown at the slab on grade detail is not consistent with the
foundation information provided on sheet 5. Please revise the plans for consistency and
clearly specify the footing and stem wall dimensions.
