We are providing this supplement to the Plan Correction Response, having already submitted
for review the revised Drawings to Engineering on 23 July 2015. The letter summary is from
Earth Solutions, the new name for the original geotechnical engineer for the entire
development in 2002.

Plan Check Correction Responses
Dear Mr. Clugston:
Please find herein a list of responses we are making to your original Plan Check Correction Letter, dated
9 July 2015. I will make reference to your Item Numbers in this response to assist in providing clarity
for this processing.
All Plan Check Correction changes are identified on the Resubmitted Drawings by revision "clouds" and
Delta No. 1, dated 21 July 2015. These drawings were submitted to Jennifer Lambert in Engineering on
23 July 2015.
Item No. 1:
Geotechnical Report.
We are providing (2) copies of a Geotechnical Recommendation Letter providing Slope Buffer
Consultation, dated 28 July 2015, from Steve Avril, Project Geologist of Earth Solutions NW, LLC, which
is the new name for Earth Consultants, Inc., that prepared the original geotechnical report for the
Pepperwood Residential Development in May of 2002, for this PRD -2002-171, of which the Anderson's
property is a part.
Item No. 2:
Site Plan (Sheet A-1).
The combination Site and Floor Plan has been modified to show the requested location and
layout of the concrete step and landing arrangement for making the grade change from the existing
driveway at the lower Garage level to the main level Entry Porch area. It has an area of 80 s.f.
Item No. 3:
Setback Encroachments.
In order to respect the 5' sideyard setback on the north and the 10' rear yard setback on the
east, the Pergola structure has been modified to eliminate the beam extensions on two sides of the
supporting, stone -clad columns of the Pergola. The beam extension elimination is shown on various
drawing exhibits:

In order to respect the 10' rear yard setback, all structural footings, including the steel column
footing and all concrete pier blocks for the new Timbertech deck framing are dimensioned and noted to
be located no closer than 10' from the rear property line along that rear setback line. Where the
Timbertech decking is shown overhanging the rear setback line by approximately 6", it is supported on
cantilevered framing with assembly that does not exceed 30" in height above adjacent finish grade.

Structural Lot Coverage:
New Lot Coverage Calculations are now shown on Sheet A-1.
I am also submitting for your reference a copy of the original Site Plan and Development
Tabulations from the City Street File for this property, date July 2005, which was used for reference in
preparing the Lot Coverage Calculations for this current application for permit.
Item No. 5:
Height Calculations:
Maximum Structure Height Calculations are now shown on Sheet A-1.
The Developed South Exterior Elevation, Detail 2/A-1, now shows the following related to height
calculations:
a.) Calculated Maximum Roof Elevation
b.) Actual Highest Roof Elevation
C.) Main Floor Finish Elevation
d.) Average Existing Grade Elevation
e.) Highest Pergola Roof Elevation
I would appreciate it if you have questions regarding these Plan Check Correction Responses that you
would please contact me for clarification, as we are anxious to finalize all code compliance questions
