During a review of the plans by the Building Division for the above noted project, it was found that
the following information, clarifications, or changes are needed. A complete review cannot be
performed until the revised plans/documents, including a written response indicating where the
clouded or otherwise highlighted changes can be found on the revised plans, have been submitted
to a Permit Coordinator. Reviews by other divisions, such as Planning, Engineering, or Fire, may
result in additional comments.
On sheet 2 Roof Framing Plan
1.Clarify the callout for the (2)2x6 HF#2 beam to be used to support the loads over the door
opening in the north wall of the Living Room. It appears to be over spanned and fails in
bending. The installation of the full-span trusses appears to double the loads over the
existing openings and may not have been accounted for.
2.Indicate on the plans the minimum required beams to support the loads over the following
openings:
a.The window in the south wall of the Master Bedroom.
b.The window in the south wall of the Master Bathroom.
c.The window in the south wall of the Dining Room.
d.The existing window in the south wall of the Kitchen.
e.The window in the south wall of the Family Room.
f.The window in the west wall of the Garage.
g.The window in the north wall of the Living Room.
h.The window in the north wall of the Bedroom 2.
i.The window in the north wall of the Bedroom 3.
j.The window in the north wall of the Bedroom 4.
The installation of the full-span trusses appears to double the loads over the existing
openings.

3.Indicate on the plans the minimum required existing construction to be verified by site
inspection, or widened footings added, to support the loads below each end of the girder
truss over the Garage.
