During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can be found
on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a permit coordinator in the Development Services
Department. Thank you.
1.Provide the square footage of the new proposed tenant space, and the remainder of the previous tenant
space.
2.If the new tenant space (current project area) exceeds 4000 SF, state law requires permit documents to
be prepared by a licensed architect.
3.Show the calculated occupant load of both spaces on the plans. Egress and other requirements may be
impacted depending on the occupant load. IBC 1004
4.Please show the entire existing suite (both halves) on the floor plan in order to verify egress and other
requirements.
5.Clarify the height of the new walls on the plans. The construction legend shows 3 wall types, but the
layout does not distinguish what types the walls actually are.
6.Indicate the height of the sink. The maximum height is 34 inches. IBC 1109.3, ICC A117.1 section
606.3
7.Provide lighting information on the plans sufficient to verify compliance with the energy code. Please
complete and turn in an Interior Lighting Summary form, which must be consistent with the plans.
