Re: Hyde Park — Plan Check # BLD20150117/78/79
IECO No. 14-0659
Dear JoAnne,
The project referenced above is revised in response to the review comments dated December 7,
2015. The review comments are numbered on the letter and have been addressed in italics as
follows:
1. The mailboxes have been moved out of the property frontage to the adjacent property
frontage.
a) Private mailboxes cannot be installed in the frontage of an adjacent property.
Mailboxes have been moved on site, in front of our property.
b) The location of the mailboxes requires a shift in the sidewalk. This shift has
placed the sidewalk on the adjacent private property. The improvements required
for this project cannot be installed on a different property. The improvements
required for this project cannot be installed on a different property.
The sidewalk shift is in public right-of-way, in front of our property.
2. The fire hydrant has been moved back on to private property. This issue has been
discussed at length. The hydrant must be located in the right of way. Other possible
locations for the hydrant were provided for you with the second set of City comments. I
will attach it again. The comment also said that if your need to discuss it further you need
to contact the Fire Marshall.
The fire hydrant is located within public property.
You have tried many configurations for the frontage improvements. You may want to consider
removing one of the monument signs. It may free up enough room for all the improvements and
their required separations.
Okay, the western must monument sign has been removed.
1. A redlined copy of the bond quantity worksheet. Please revise and resubmit.
The revised bond quantity worksheet is included with this submittal.
2. A special inspection agreement for the installation of the permeable pavement. Please
complete and return.
Okay.
A covenant for the low impact development stormwater mitigation system (permeable
pavement/pavers).
Comment noted.
