Edmonds, WA 98020 Attn: Leif Bjorback, Building Official 1cgif bJgnry as # @tdmondswy w y Re: Trike Stop Daycare Center - Westgate EBP BLD20150962 (Main Building) Dear Leif: I am providing a letter summarizing the scope and reasons for the Partial Resubmittal of Drawings for the Main Building as we discussed over the counter yesterday morning. I do hope that this summary, along with the "clouds" and Revision Delta No. 2 on the Drawings will help you to quickly identify the changes made. Item No. 1: I have reformatted the Cover Sheet A-1 to remove the Site Plan per request by Linda Thornquist and Mike Clugston in Planning. The new Sheet SP is the location for the Site Plan exhibit at 1" = 10'-0" scale. The changes to the Site Plan include: a.) New Trash Enclosure location and identification of Details as shown on Sheet A-11. b.) New Notes regarding location of striped, "No Parking - Fire Lane" areas. c.) References to Landscape Plans for design, materials, and details for the Parent Drop-off, Entry Walkway, and Play Areas for the Child Care Facility around the Main Building. Item No. 2: Per request by Mike Clugston in the Planning Department, the Owners have retained the services of John Rubenkonig, Landscape Architect, to address Planning Department concerns for the Main Building. I will refer you to the submittal set as prepared by the Landscape Architect. Item No. 3: Revised Sheets A-4 and A-5, the Reflected Ceiling and Lighting Plans have been modified to remove all existing 2 x 4 fluorescent fixtures and recessed incandescent can lights. They have been replaced with recessed LED can lights for much more efficient energy use in the entire Main Building, except for the Tenant Space (N.I.C.). Revised Energy Compliance forms have been resubmitted as well which will confirm that the wattage used is well below the capacity of the existing electrical service for lighting. Previous revisions noted with Delta No. 1 are in response to requirements from the Fire Marshal, John Westfall. Plan Check Response Letter to Leif Bjorback, Building Official Trike Stop Daycare Center, Westgate EBP Main Building - BLD20150962 18 December 2015 Page 2 Item No. 5: See Sheets A-12 and A-13. Based on previous requests for the Infant Building I have prepared Interior Elevations for all of the Toilet Rooms in the Main Building to show compliance for Handicapped Access and clearances within the Toilet Rooms and to all toilet fixtures and accessories.
