General Review Notes:
1.Provide on the plans a detail, designed and stamped by an engineer, for the required
support and attachment of the rooftop unit per page 9 of the provided mechanical equipment
submittal data, IMC 301.15/18, IBC 1609/1613, and ASCE 7-10 chapter 13.
2.Provide on the plans information regarding the proposed required equipment access per
International Mechanical Code (IMC) 306.5. Details should include the access hatch and its
location, the distance above grade to access the equipment, and the equipment access ladder
(or other means to be used) and its location.
On sheet A0.2 Building Plan & Egress Plan:
3.Egress Plan
a.Clarify the difference in the represented room layout and of that depicted on the
plans for tenant improvement work to be completed under permit BLD2015-1325.
Changes in the locations and uses of the spaces have been approved on revised plans
for the tenant improvement that do not appear on the plans for the work proposed
under this submittal. The plans for the proposed work, along with other associated
work to be completed as part of the tenant improvement, should be consistently
represented to guide proper review, installation, and inspection.
b.Indicate on the plans the minimum required exhaust airflow rate (CFM/sq. ft.) for the
Break Room per International Mechanical Code (IMC) Table 403.3.
c.Indicate on the plans the means to be used to discharge any excess supply air in the
Break Room per the pressure equalization requirements of IMC 501.4.
d.Clarify the indicated locations of the proposed return air openings. When closed, the
doors in the openings between the individual spaces and the return air openings do
not allow an approximately equal amount of supply air and return or exhaust air per
IMC 403.1. Return air ducts or transfer openings into each of the spaces are
typically installed to meet this requirement.
