It has been removed from the submitted plans. This was a vestige of a previous plan, but we are not seeking the ADU at this time. Comment 2: With some demo investigation we have determined that there is NOT a continuous footing in the center of the basement, but pier pads and 6x6 posts under a 6x10 center beam. The main floor structure and foundation have been completely reworked for PAGE 8. Beam C, the glu-lam will not be installed and the 6x10 will remain. The appearance of this beam is excellent and should have a designation of DF-L #1. A revised calculation for this is provided. A new pier pad is called out for the East end of beam C. The loads have changed to the post supporting beam D because the floor joists are not continuously supported and have a concentrated load to the pier pads. The pier pad size is called out and the existing is to be verified to meet this or be replaced. The loads have changed slightly to beam E and small pier pads are now called out below the double 2x8 header near the stairs. This is essentially a full rework of this area and a corrected Detail 2/8. A completely new Page 8 (two copies) is submitted for your review, along with revised Beam calcs as needed.
