A complete review cannot be performed until the revised plans/documents, including a written response indicating where the ‘clouded’ or otherwise highlighted changes can be found on the revised plans, have been submitted to a Permit Coordinator. Reviews by other divisions, such as Planning, Engineering, or Fire, may result in additional comments. 1.Please indicate on the plans how the required 0.5 Energy Credit per Washington State Energy Code Section R406/Table R406.2 will be obtained. 2.Please note that all of the smoke detectors within the house will be required to be hard-wired and interconnected to meet the requirements of IRC R315. 3.Carbon Monoxide detectors will also be required per IRC R314. 4.Please indicate how the requirements regarding whole-house ventilation will be achieved per IRC M1507.3. 5.Please add a note to Sheet A2.1 stating that all walls separating the garage from the dwelling must be fire-rated per IRC R302.6, and fire protected per IRC R302.5. 6.The new space is labeled on the plan as an office space, but is represented in the application as an additional bedroom. Please clarify the intentions of this room to guide proper reporting to the Snohomish County Assessor’s Office. 7.The plans show a portion of the exterior wall around the office to be 2x4. Please note that batt insulation will not allow for the minimum R-21 required by WSEC Table R402.1.1. Please specify what insulation will be used in that area or revise that portion of wall to 2x6.
