During a review of the plans by the Building Division for compliance with the applicable building codes, it was found that the following . information, clarifications, or changes are neededReviews by other divisions, such as Planning, Engineering, or Fire, may result in additional comments that require attention beyond the scope of this letter. Items that recur on this list appear in italics. A complete review cannot be performed until the revised plans/documents, including a written response in itemized letter format indicating where the ‘clouded’ or otherwise highlighted changes can be found on the revised plans, have been submitted to a Permit Coordinator. nd Resubmittals must be made at the Development Services Department on the 2 Floor of City Hall. Permit Center hours are M, T, Th, & F from 8am-4:30pm and from 8:30am-12pm on Wednesdays. On sheet 1 – Looney Deck & Cover Plans: 1.Detail A/1 – Detail @ Post & Deck Beam – Clarify the callout for the four 16-inch diameter Sonotube footings to be used to support the loads below the two beams referenced in the above review comments. They appear to be undersized for the loads anticipated by the Load represented construction. The response to the plan review comment states: “ Distribution @ Footings: Remove direct post to footing load & spread as shown below. ”. The placement of a beam between the lower end of the load-bearing posts and the footing below does little to distribute the loads to the footings differently than that previously represented. The loads will “pass-through” the beam to the footing directly below. Since all four of the footings are undersized, and the supported loads are the same, either the size or the number of the footings needs to be increased.
