Project: Bracketts Corner Detached Condominiums
During a review of the plans by the Building Division for the above noted project, it was found that
the following information, clarifications, or changes are needed. A complete review cannot be
performed until the revised plans/documents, including a written response indicating where the
clouded or otherwise highlighted changes can be found on the revised plans, have been submitted
to a Permit Coordinator. Reviews by other divisions, such as Planning, Engineering, or Fire, may
result in additional comments.

1.The note sheet references the Seattle Building Code. Please update this sheet with the
appropriate Code references.

3.Detail GPA shows that the lag bolts are to be concealed under the post (2 edge distance at
each side), but the calculations provided show the bolts configured with ½ edge distance.
Please revise the detail or revise the calculations to match.

4.It appears that the structural drafting is reversed relative to the floor plans in the
architectural set. The City of Edmonds does not accept flipped plans. Structural plans
matching the architectural plans are required.

5.See comment 6 above.
6.Verify that the lower floor SW-B4 shear wall specified adjacent to the stairs is correct. No
such specification could be found in the calculations.
7.Member 2-7 could not be found on the plans, however the header in the upstairs bedroom
(adjacent the bonus room) appears to match the loading criteria shown for 2-7. That
calculations calls for a (3) 2x8 header but that header was not so specified. Please verify.
