Regarding the General Comments, these items are being attended to by the owner,
and I expect the Geotechnical Report and Survey to be completed an submitted
herewith.
I have listed the corrections by your references below:
Sheet 1:
4. Good catch. I had marked the next window on the list as tempered, instead of this
one. That is now corrected on the Window Schedule.
5. Note added, at the bottom of the Window Schedule, to the right of the bottom of
the Door Schedule.
Sheet 2:
6. The back wall behind the toilet is 6'-0" H. The stairs pitch is 7.727"/10", so by the
time you get to the "clearance zone" at the front of the toilet, there would be about
7'-7" of clearance. The lavatory built into the toilet is not a required fixture, and
there is no special rough -in for it. It is a convenience only, and from a code -
standpoint, it should be ignored. Even if we delete it from the plans, it will be
installed the day after final inspection.
Sheet 4:
7. I changed that detail to read "Pitch Varies".
8. I provided Detail 6/4, which details this connection. Research on the W8x15
specified by the Engineer indicates that the flanges are not wide enough to provide
the required 1" clearance from the edge of the bolt hole to the edge of the flange, so I
have noted an up -grade to W8x21 on the plans, which will provide the required
clearance.
9. Same connection detail as in #8 above.
10. There is no post directly below the 31B to 33B connection. I removed that note
from the plans, as it pertained to a post that had been deleted in a previous
generation of these plans. The calculations for the cantilever are correct.
11. So noted on plans
12. Header and post specifications are transferred to plans. This is normally done
in the SIPS shop drawing process.
13. The hangers were all specified and labeled on the plans in the appropriate
locations as either Simpson LVB or BA hangers, welded to the tops of the steel
beams. None of these occur on Sheet 4.
Sheet 8:
14. New Detail 6/4 shows the connections of the wood nailers to the tops of the
steel cross -ridge beams. This is a similar detail to 2/4, which shows the shallower
pitch of the roof at the main steel beams.
15. See above, Detail 6/4.
Sheet 14:
16. Thank you, this was a typo, and has been corrected on the plans.
