Review Comments:
On the City of Edmonds 'Commercial & Multi -Family Building Permit Application':
Design Review: The subject property is located within the CG2 (General Commercial)
zone and subject to the design guidelines in EDC 16.30.030. The proposal includes
filling in a garage bay door with a wall. This would create a blank wall on the western
portion of the building which is contrary to the design standards in ECDC 16.30.030.D.
Instead of just filling in the garage door with additional wall space, please insert windows
in place of the garage door to minimize the blank wall affect. The windows do not need
to run from the base to the roof as on the main entrance portion of the building.
We are no longer removing the garage door. The garage door will be left in place
and insulated behind the door to meet 2016 WSEC and a new interior wall cavity
space will be installed behind the door.
