Project Address: 22901 106th AVE W.
Scope: Install manufactured structure including foundation, electrical and demo of
small playground.
Please be advised that the building plans for the above referenced project have been disapproved
for the purposes of obtaining a building permit. During a review of the plans by the Building
Division for compliance with the applicable building codes, it was found that the following
information, clarifications, or changes are needed. Reviews by other divisions, such as Planning,
Engineering, or Fire, may result in additional comments that require attention beyond the scope of
this letter. Items that recur on this list appear in italics.
A complete review cannot be performed until the revised plans/documents, including a
written response in itemized letter format indicatin where the 'clouded' or otherwise
hil!hlil!hted changes can be found on the revised plans, have been submitted to a Permit
Coordinator.
Resubmittals must be made at the Development Services Department on the 2 nd Floor of City Hall.
Permit Center hours are M, T, Th, & F from 8am-4:30pm and from 8:30am-12pm on Wednesdays.
General:
Plans submitted for the structure do not appear to comply with current applicable codes
and city standards. Per 19.60.005 of the Edmonds Community Development Code all
buildings or structures moved into or within the city shall comply with the provisions of
this code including the current adopted codes. Please either (A) resubmit all A, E and M
sheets of those previously reviewed and approved by L and I with current applicable
code compliance including stamped by the Engineer of Record; or (B) provide a letter
signed by the Engineer of Record referencing that this proposed factory assembled
structure meets the structural provisions of the IBC, and proposed location.
2. Please describe in detail to what extent and methods will the proposed structure be
disassembled for transport. Do you intend to disassemble at the marriage lines? This wi I I
help us determine the type of inspections that will need to be performed, and if further
regulation and oversight of the transport process will be necessary.
