The 4ft P1-3 shear wall on grid "F" is designed to resist wind and seismic loads from the new and existing structures, see wind loads on page "6/32" and seismic on page 7/32". The resistance of the 25ft bearing wall below with GWB sheathing on each side is not used as a shear wall. Lateral load from the existing roof located above the new roof is transferred to the new roof diaphragm per detail "20/S3." For the roof located below the new roof, P1-6 exterior wall sheathing is added to transfer load above to new dbl wall top plates, see detail "'I 8/S3". The (2)-2x6 wall top plates, spliced per detail "17/S2", works as collector to transfer the total lateral load of 1289# to the 4ft P1-3 shear wall. The additional note and detail have been added to the roof plan. On detail "20/S3" the (4)-10d toenails at each blocking to wall top plate has an allowable shear capacity of 4x80#x0.83x1.6 = 424# per 2ft block or 212plf which is more than the roof sheathing shear = 155plf. 15. BM1 per plan has been recalculated as a multi -span beam. The size remains the same and the middle column "C2" is replaced by (3)-2x6 HF, see calculation on pages "16B/32" & "16C/32". See clouded revision on sheet "F3/3". Sincerely, V ML ENGINEERING LLC Mikhail Lefelman
