Project Address: 22800 76th AVE W.
Scope: Installation of new plumbing for commercial hot water tank, washer, and
dryer.
Please be advised that the building plans for the above referenced project have been disapproved
for the purposes of obtaining a building permit. During a review of the plans by the Building
Division for compliance with the applicable building codes, it was found that the following
information, clarifications, or changes are needed. Reviews by other divisions, such as Planning,
Engineering, or Fire, may result in additional comments that require attention beyond the scope of
this letter. Items that recur on this list appear in italics.
A complete review cannot be performed until the revised plans/documents, including a
written response in itemized letter format indicatin where the 'clouded' or otherwise
hil!hlil!hted changes can be found on the revised plans, have been submitted to a Permit
Coordinator.
Resubmittals must be made at the Development Services Department on the 2 nd Floor of City Hall.
Permit Center hours are M, T, Th, & F from 8am-4:30pm and from 8:30am-12pm on Wednesdays.
General:
1. The hot water tank must be seismically anchored per UPC 507.2. Please indicated on the plans.
2. With the information provided, and visiting the manufacturer's website. The efficacy rating of the
hot water tank is unknown. Per Washington State Energy Code the proposed tank must have an EF
rating of 80% or greater. Please provide documentation and note on the plan the efficiency rating.
3. The proposed hot water supply lines exceed the lengths allowed by table C404.3 of the Washington
State Energy Code. Please see the table and indicate on the plans the location of the hot water
source(s) in compliance with table C404.3. 1.
