Pursuant to our conversation earlier today please find below my responses to the "clouded"
areas in the permit application.

The "Scope of work" portion of the permit application remains the same until such time as I can
assess the state of the existing cement block foundation and the underlying footing, which either
one or both may need to be replaced.

The window located at the master bath soaker tub will be "safety glazed" per IRC 308.4.5 The
window located within the shower enclosure of the second bath will be set such that the lower
edge of the glass will be 72 inches above the standing or walking surface per IRC 308.4.5.

The Per energy credit has changed to 113. All new vertical fenestrations will have a U value of .25
or better.

The existing hot water tank to be installed within the closet is electric, hence no combustion air
is required.

An 50 CFM exhaust fan with sone rating of 1 .0 or less is in the existing laundry room. This fan
will be modified to be in continuous run mode thereby fulfilling the requirements of Table
M 1 507.3.3(l) for a Dwelling Unit Floor Area of < 1500 sq. ft. and 2 bedrooms. Each bedroom
will have a 4" diameter fresh air vent and an operable window per IRC M1 507.3.4.4

In order to meet the 0.5 energy credits. The shower heads in the proposed bathrooms will be
rated at 1.75 GPM or less and all lavatory faucets in the proposed bathrooms will be rated at 1 .0
GPM Or less.
