Re: Special Inspection — 560 Homeland Drive, Edmonds, Washington
Permit No.: BLD2017-0792
Dear Ken -
I have performed the special inspection of the installation of the push piers per ICC ESR-1854 for
the above- refe re nced project.
Helical Anchor - Installation
The helical anchor used for installation was a 2 7/8" diameter pipe with a 10" diameter helix
configuration. The installation was performed by Ram Jack West, certified installers for Ram Jack
products using a 2.5K drive head.
The maximum axial load requirement for this project is 9,000 lbs working load (18,000 lbs
ultimate). The anchors were driven to depths of 3'-6" — 8'feet with a minimum installation
pressure of 2,800 psi. This results in an ultimate axial capacity of 23,335 lbs, exceeding the
required ultimate load per the design documents.
Summary
Based on my special inspection and structural observation, the helical anchors were installed
according to the engineering design load requirements and according to ESR-1854.
Please give our office a call if you have any questions or need further assistance.
