Scope: New SFR, VB construction, Plumbing and Mechanical included.
Please be advised that the building plans for the above referenced project have been disapproved
for the purposes of obtaining a building permit. During a review of the plans by the Building
Division for compliance with the applicable building codes, it was found that the following
information, clarifications, or changes are needed. Reviews by other divisions, such as Planning,
Engineering, or Fire, may result in additional comments that require attention beyond the scope of
this letter. Items that recur on this list appear in italics.
A complete review cannot be performed until the revised plans/documents, including a
written response in itemized letter format indicating where the 'clouded' or otherwise
hi2hli2hted chan2es can be found on the revised plans, have been submitted to a Permit
Coordinator.
Resubmittals must be made at the Development Services Department on the 2 d Floor of City Hall.
Permit Center hours are M, T, Th, & F from 8am-4:30pm and from 8:30am-12pm on Wednesdays.
This building plan review cannot be completed until we receive the following items:
General:
A5:
Energy credit 3A is indicated on page A2 as one of the elected energy credit to comply
with the WSEC. Credit 3A is dedicated for Natural Gas, Propane or Oil fired appliances.
The permit application indicates the installation of an electric furnace which does not
comply with the credit. If a fuel fired furnace is intended please update the permit
application. If the electric furnace is to be utilized, please elect a different energy credit
that would apply. Please clarify and change on the plans.
2 A note pertaining to sistering 2x I 2x I 2FT HF#2 TYP @ CANT'L FJ is indicated on the
upper floor framing plan but does not appear to have any details of the attachment.
Please add the attachment details to the plans.

3 On the roof framing plan, beam R04 is label as a 5 7/8" x 12 GLB. The gravity
calculations show a 5 1/8" x 12 GLB. It is assumed that this is a typo but still needs to be
reconciled on the plans. Please clarify and change on the plans.
4 The windows located within 60" of the soaking tub of the Master Bath are considered to
be located in a "hazardous location" as identified in section R308.4. Please indicate these
windows as "safety glazed" on the plans.
