Project Address: 8507 192 nd St SW.
Scope: New SFR, VB construction, Plumbing and Mechanical included.
Please be advised that the building plans for the above referenced project have been disapproved
for the purposes of obtaining a building permit. During a review of the plans by the Building
Division for compliance with the applicable building codes, it was found that the following
information, clarifications, or changes are needed. Reviews by other divisions, such as Planning,
Engineering, or Fire, may result in additional comments that require attention beyond the scope of
this letter. Items that recur on this list appear in italics.
A complete review cannot be performed until the revised plans/documents, includin2 a
written response in itemized letter format indicating where the 'clouded' or otherwise
hi2hli2hted chan2es can be found on the revised plans, have been submitted to a Permit
Coordinator.
Resubmittals must be made at the Development Services Department on the 2 d Floor of City Hall.
Permit Center hours are M, T, Th, & F from 8am-4:30pm and from 8:30am-12pm on Wednesdays.
This building plan review cannot be completed until we receive the following items:
S4:
1. The upper stair roof plan and what is shown on the building cross sections appear to be
different. Please clarify and change plans to represent the intended construction.
2. There appears to be a discrepancy between what is represented on the plans and the
provided gravity calculations for BM6. If I am interpreting the plans correctly the beam
appears to span form the 6x6 column and is hung from BM8 and scales out at 14' in
length. Please clarify and adjust the calculations if necessary.
3. BM7 is shown on the plans as a 3 V2"x 117/8" PSL. The provided gravity calculations
indicate Alaska cedar. Please clarify and update the calculations.
4. It appears that both BM7 and BM6 are hung from BM8 but connectors are not specified.
Please indicate the intended connectors on the plans.
S2:
It appears that isolated piers are intended to support the roof structure over the patio. The size or
construction of the piers were not indicated. Please clarify and indicate on the plans.
