This building plan review cannot be completed until we receive the following items: General: The submitted plans do not identify the current bearing points for the beam supporting the roof over the area of proposed work. It is a concern that 6x 14 cedar beam which supports the roof above the kitchen may bear on part of the wall that is being removed. Please have an Engineer who is licensed with the State of Washington asses the structural modifications to the home. If the Engineer determines the removal of the wall will not affect the structure, a stamped letter will be required. If the Engineer finds that structural changes will be required, a stamped plan and calculations will be required as part of the resubmittal Please let me know if I can be of any additional assistance.
