Scope: NEW SFR, VB construction, Plumbing and Mechanical included.
Please be advised that the building plans for the above referenced project have been disapproved
for the purposes of obtaining a building permit. During a review of the plans by the Building
Division for compliance with the applicable building codes, it was found that the following
information, clarifications, or changes are needed. Reviews by other divisions, such as Planning,
Engineering, or Fire, may result in additional comments that require attention beyond the scope of
this letter. Items that recur on this list appear in italics.
A complete review cannot be performed until the revised plans/documents, includini! a
written response in itemized letter format indicatin2 where the 'clouded' or otherwise
hh!hlh!hted chanus can be found on the revised plans, have been submitted to a Permit
Coordinator.
Resubmittals must be made at the Development Services Department on the 2 d Floor of City Hall.
Permit Center hours are M, T, Th, & F from 8am-4:30pm and from 8:30am-12pm on Wednesdays.
This building plan review cannot be completed until we receive the following items:
A2:
I The north elevation on page A1.2 and the north wall openings on page A2 do not
appear to match. Please clarify and change on the plans.
2. The den/ guest room is considered a sleeping room and will require a smoke detector
inside the room. Please indicate the required smoke detector on the plans.
A3:
3. The west elevation as shown on page Al. I and the west wall openings on A3 do not
appear to match. Please clarify and change on the plans.
4. The 60/40 sliding window above the soaker tub appears to be located in a "hazardous
location" and will be required to be safety glazed. Please indicate the required safety
glazing on the plans.
A5:
5. The toilet room located within the master bath will require a local exhaust fan. Please
indicate the fan on the plans.
6. 2x8 HF #2 floor joists 16" OC are indicated on the plans but do not coordinate with what
is indicated on page S5. Please clarify and change on the plans.
7. 117/8" 2 10 series floor j oists 16" OC are indicated in the notes section of the plans for
the second floor but do not coordinate with what is indicated on page S6. Please clarify
and change on the plans.
