Deane Nault deanenault@gmail.com FROM: RE: Eric Carter, Plans Examiner Plan Check: BLD2018-0533 Project Address: 919 Sprague St. Project: Arguelles swimming pool Scope: Construct residential swimming pool/spa Please be advised that the building plans for the above referenced project have been disapproved for the purposes of obtaining a building permit. During a review of the plans by the Building Division for compliance with the applicable building codes, it was found that the following information, clarifications, or changes are needed. Reviews by other divisions, such as Planning, Engineering, or Fire, may result in additional comments that require attention beyond the scope of this letter. A complete review cannot be performed until the revised plans/documents, including a written response in itemized letter format indicating where the 'clouded' or otherwise hi2hli2hted chanus can be found on the revised plans, have been submitted to a Permit Coordinator. Resubmittals must be made at the Development Services Department on the 2 d Floor of City Hall. Permit Center hours are M, T, Th, & F from 8am-4:30pm and from 8:30am-12pm on Wednesdays. General Note: Indicate on the plans the requirement for controls to shut off the heater without adjusting the thermostat and a timer to automatically turn off and on heaters and pumps on a preset schedule or a built-in timer to do the same per ISPSC 303. 1.1 and Washington State Energy Code (WSEC) R403.10.2. The electrical diagram does appear to indicate some of the requirements but the plans does not specifically state how the requirements will be achieved. 2. Indicate on the plans the requirement for the vapor retardant cover as required by ISPC303.1.3 and (WSEC) 403.10.3. Indicate on the plans the means to be used to meet the barrier requirements of ISPSC 3 05. 1. A cover, required for outdoor heated pools per ISPSC 303.1.3/WSEC R403.9.3 may also be used to meet the requirement if it is also provided for the spa, is lockable, and complies with ASTM F 1346.
