The purpose of this letter is to address comments received from you on May 18, 2018 regarding the
aforementioned project. For your convenience and to expedite the review and approval process, your
original comments are included and our responses are provided in BOLD.
PIANNING DIVISION REVIEW
1. Geotechnical Report¡ The geotechnical report submitted with the building permit application
does not address the requirements of ECDC 23.80.060 or ECDC 23.80.070. Please submit a
geotechnical report addendum that specifically addresses the required findings in ECDC
23.80.060.A and ECDC 23.80.070.

2. Notice on Title: Pursuant ECDC 23.40.270.8, sites with field-verified presence of critical areas
and/or critical area buffers for which a permit application is submitted shall as a conditlon of
permit issuance, record a notice of the existence of the critical area and/or critical area buffer
against the property with the Snohomish County Auditor's Office. Attached is a Notice of
Presence of Critical Areas. Please sign and notarize this document. Prior to issuance of the
building permit, this form must be recorded wlth the Snohomish County Auditor's Office.

3. Rockeries/Retaining Wall: The site plan identifies a several rock walls proposed with the
development. Pursuant to ECDC 18.40.020.A.8, rockeries are prohibited in designated
geologically hazardous areas. Retain¡ng walls may be constructed in place of rockeries, but they
must be designed by a licensed engineer. Please see Handout #862 for more information on
retaining wall design requirements. Please note that retaining walls located within setbacks
