Resubmittals must be made at the Development Services Department on the 2nd Floor of City Hall. Permit Center hours are M, T, Th, & F from 8am-4:30pm and from 8:30am-12pm on Wednesdays. General: 1. As indicated on page 8, it appears that the roof structure is not to have sheathing or a permanent cover. If the roof structure is intended to have a permanent covering, the proposed construction will not meet the required “live” and “dead” loads as required by the 2015 International Residential Code. The proposed 2x8 PT joists spanning more than 10’ in length exceed the allowable limits of stress and bending. When calculating the proposed joist, be sure to use a minimum of 10PSF “Dead load” 60PSF of “Live Load”, plus the “wet service” and incising factors as required by the 2015 SDPWS.
