Please provide written responses to each comment, and submit revised plans/documents to a permit coordinator in the Development Services Department. Sheet 1 1. Area and Occupant Load a. Please alter the area calculations to provide the net square footage of suite 103 without the vent shaft and back stoop. (The 1756 sq ft figure is irrelevant to this project, except that when you deduct the areas of the rear entry (approx. 28sf) and the shaft (25sf), the figure of 1701sf shown on the plans seems reasonable. b. Please use an occupant load factor of 100 for the office, restroom and rear circulation area (approx. 320sf, please verify) which nets an occupant load of 4 people for this area. The remaining area of the suite would then be divided by an OL factor of 50. c. Please update and coordinate the occupant load information found in one location on sheet 1 and 2 locations on sheet 2. Sheet 2 2. The bathroom details on this sheet are partially illegible. Please provide a new sheet with the legible details. 3. A hinge type swinging door is required for egress from the Exercise room. This room does not meet any of the exeptions of IBC 1010.1.2. 4. Indicate on the plans that all door hardware will be lever style or otherwise accessible. IBC 1010.9.1 5. Separate restroom facilities are required for each sex where the occupant load is greater than 15. Please provide an additional restroom for the suite. It is acceptable to provide two family or assisted-use toilet facilities. IBC 2902.2 6. Drinking fountains are required where the occupant load is greater than 30. Please show on the plans accessible drinking fountains for both standing and wheelchair heights.
