Project: Tenant Improvement for Barre fitness studio
Project Address: 201 5th Ave S., Edmonds WA
During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can be found
on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a permit coordinator in the Development Services
Department.
General:
1. As indicated in the “Maximum Allowed Lighting Wattage” section of the provided WSEC
lighting Summary. The space type is indicated as “Dining area; Family Dining Area” with an
allowed watts of .710 per square foot. In accordance with table C405.4.2 (1) the use of the
space would more closely match “exercise center” at .67 watts per square foot. Please submit
two sets of revised forms that indicate the revised maximum wattage and the “Proposed
Lighting Wattage” must also comply.
2. The plans do not appear to indicate the installation of a drinking fountain. In accordance with
Washington State amended section 2902.5 of the 2015 IBC. The proposed use shall include a drinking
fountain unless the nearest fountain is within 500’ and not more than one story above or below and on
an accessible route. Please clarify and indicate on the plans.
Please be aware that once the above corrections are made, subsequent city review may identify
further corrections. Please let me know if I can be of any additional assistance.
