The grades on the site make use of the existing access easement to serve the new SFR
in -feasible. The proposed access point for the future SFR on Lot 2 was discussed during
the pre-app and Staff agreed that the proposed location was the best option available for
Lot 2.

b. There is a significant amount of well -established and well -maintained landscaping
behind the existing sidewalk. Any relocation of the existing sidewalk to provide a
planter on Puget Drive would cause a significant amount of this landscaping to be
removed. As a result, the benefit of the planter strip and street trees would negatively
impact the aesthetic in this area. In addition, the cost of the sidewalk relocation would
be disproportionately high for a 2-lot short plat. A letter detailing the benefits of
maintaining the existing sidewalk location for this project is being submitted along with
the rest of the resubmittal material for your consideration.
