Please be advised that the building plans for the above referenced project have been disapproved for the purposes of
obtaining a building permit. During a review of the plans by the Building Division for compliance with the applicable
building codes, it was found that the following information, clarifications, or changes are needed. Reviews by other
divisions, such as Planning, Engineering, or Fire, may result in additional comments that require attention beyond the
scope of this letter. Items that recur on this list appear in italics.
A complete review cannot be performed until the revised plans/documents, including a written response in
itemized letter format indicating where the ‘clouded’ or otherwise highlighted changes can be found on the
revised plans, have been submitted to a Permit Coordinator.
Resubmittals must be made at the Development Services Department on the 2nd Floor of City Hall. Permit Center hours
are M, T, Th, & F from 8am-4:30pm and from 8:30am-12pm on Wednesdays.
Sheet A-101:
1. Provide a detail as to how the all the connections are to be made at grid lines D2, D3, E3, F3, and E4 on
the set of plans. Please provide the type of hanger if hangers are being used.
2. Remove scope of work that is indicated at A1 located at the rear of the property or add this to the scope of
work to be done so that it may be part of the permit. Please make sure that the work that is being
proposed is for a permitted addition to the existing structure.
3. Clarify the floor plans identified as ground floor plan-proposed. It appears that this is being used for
foundation and roof framing? Please clarify make corrections and clearly separate the foundation plans
details and roof framing/details.
Sheet A-201:
4. It appears that there is additional work being done beyond the scope of work see detail 1, 2,3and 4 this is
not notated in the project description of the permit application. Clarify/correct this on the plans.
5. Is the fixed 02 and the casement 01 part of this project? Please clarify/correct this on the plans.
Sheet A-301:
Detail 1:
1. Please help clarify the size and spacing of joist being used for the roof of the addition. Clarify correct this
on the plans.

Detail2:
2. Please remove any details that do not pertain to this project. Make corrections on the plans.
3. It appears that the detail for the foundation is not clear as to the depth of the anchor bolts. Please provide
this information in the details on the plans.
4. It appears that there is some type of matting being used for the new slab of the addition. Clarify this on
the plans.
5. Provide the depth of the footing and the depth of the poured in place footing. I am to determine the width
of 2’ for the footing but unable to determine the thickness of the footing.
6. Does the anchor plates have plate washers? Please provide the dimensions of the plate washers and detail
as how this is to be applied in the field.
7. Is the new slab and foundation of the new addition a monolithic pour? Clarify/correct as how this is to be
done.
8. How is the new foundation being connected to the existing foundation? Clarify/correct this on the plans.
9. It appears that this is a slab on grade with a footing. Is there a crawlspace? Please clarify/correct this on
the plans.
Detail 3:
10. Detail 3 please remove and boiler plate information that is not part of this project. Clarify what the
openings are per detail B and C. Make corrections on the plans.
11. The anchor bolts being used for the connection of the bottom plate to the foundation. Indicate the depth,
size of anchor bolts and the type of washers being used for this project. Provide this information on the
plans.
12. It appears that there is connections both horizontally and vertically at the opening of the new windows.
Please clarify/correct this on the plans.

13. Please remove any details that do not pertain to this project. Make corrections on the plans.
