Essentially, when you conducted your final trim you installed a couple of "spacers"to cover for what appeared to be heads that were mounted too low. I mentioned this to you along with my intention to discuses this with the Fire Marshall. He has not seen anything like this as well. This, technically, is altering the manner by which that sprinkler head is designed to operate. Here is what we are going to need: We need verification from the sprinkler manufacture indicating that the spacer ring is an acceptable and approved to be used in conjunction with those heads. If that is a commercially made "spacer" specifically designed for that purpose then please send us the specs for it so that we can include in the historical record. If this is a "on the f7y"fix that is not engineered by a fire sprinkler professional then we will have to have further discussion about it. It looks like a good idea but we need some sort of verification that this is a acceptable application. Thank you for your time.
