Dear Building Inspection Division:
This letter serves to certify that in accordance with Chapter 17 of the International Building Code requirements
outlined in the General Structural Notes on Sl.i of the approved permit drawings, SFA Design Group, LLC has
performed special inspection as detailed below.
The inspector observed the installation of (B) FSI PP288 push piers, verifying pier locations, installation depth,
installation pressure, bracket type, pier type, pier diameter and thickness. To confirm pier capaeily,load tests
were observed following installation and the results were within approved allowances. Please see attached field
installation logs and load test data dated, 0712912019 - 0713012019. All anchors were installed per the intent of
the design and any installation deviations were reviewed and approved by this office with no outstanding non-
compliance items.
Our inspection and testing services do not constitute a warranty or guarantee of any type and were provided and
intended to help reduce the risk of construction defects, deficiencies or omissions that may arise during and after
construction. It is the contractor's responsibility to perform their work in accordance with the approved
construction documents. A1l inspections and tests were performed and reported according to the requirements of
the City Building Regulations and these Administrative Rules and, to the best of my knowledge, the work was in
conformance with the applicable workmanship provisions of the State Building Code and Standards.

Cont¡nuous special inspection is required during instôllation per 2015 IBC section 1810.4.12. Load tesiing shall be performed in
accordance with ASTM Method D1143 (Qu¡ck Method). 20 percent of piers shall be tested to 150 percent of design load. Load
tes'ting creep acceptance criteria shall be no greatêr than 0-04 inches within a 10 rninute period. lf movement is observed greater
than 0.04 inches within the 10 minr.¡te period the loâd tesl shall be held for an ãdd¡tionål S0 m¡nutes, the pier is to be deepened
and re-tested, or the pîer is to be abandoned and replaced with a new pier, lf thê load test is to be held the pier movemênts shâll
be measured at 15, 20,30, 40, 50, and 60 minutes. The creep versus the logarithm of r¡me shall be plotted- lf the creep rate ís
less than 0.080 inches between 6 and 60 minutes, the load test shatl be considered successful.
