During review of the civil drawings for the proposed subdivision it was found that the following
information, corrections, or clarifications will need to be addressed. Please resubmit 3 copies of the
revised civil drawings and associated documents with a written response to each item to an Engineering
Technician. Please contact me at 425-771-0220 or by e-mail at sibrel(a-),ci.edmonds.wa.us if you have
specific questions regarding these plan corrections.
STORMWATER COMMENTS
The drainage plan as submitted only addresses a system for dealing with the new impervious surfaces
created by the development proposal. No design was submitted to address the offsite drainage that
currently enters the property, nor to address the site's role as a historical and natural drainage point for
the Plat of Westgate Village. The sub -basin analysis is not an adequate substitute to meet the
stormwater management requirements for this site.
Please find attached a letter dated March 12, 2008 describing the City's position regarding the
development of the subject lot.

RE: Drainage Issues, Lot 1, Plat of Preview Homes, Westgate Village;
9330 — 218t" Place SW — Fred and Donna Breske
Dear Mr. Gifford:
GARY HAAKENSON
MAYOR
This is in response to your letter dated March 7, 2008. The Breskes presently have no
pending pen -nit application with the City for the subject property. Their previous pen -nit
application for this lot has expired.
The City's position regarding the drainage requirements to develop this lot has been
consistently conveyed to the Breskes in our numerous previous meetings, letters and
review comments. This position is consistent with the information provided to the
Breskes by Don Fiene, Assistant City Engineer, before they purchased the property.
We do not intend to reconsider our position on this matter.
Sincerely
DAVID K. GEBERT, PE
